ดูก่อน คนอิสราเอล พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านทรงประสงค์ ให้ท่านกระทำอย่างไร คือให้ยำเกรงพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่าน ให้ดำเนินตามทางทั้งปวงของพระองค์ ให้รักพระองค์ ให้ปรนนิบัติพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านด้วยสุดจิต สุดใจของท่านทั้งหลาย และให้รักษาพระบัญญัติและกฎเกณฑ์ของพระเจ้า ซึ่งข้าพเจ้าบัญชาท่านในวันนี้ เพื่อประโยชน์ของท่านทั้งหลาย เฉลยธรรมบัญญัติ 10:12-13   “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord , which I am commanding you today for your good? Deuteronomy 10:12-13
